Reflections

I chose The Legend of Sleepy Hollow because I love suspenseful or thrilling stories and I knew this to be one.  Ichabod Crane's character appeals to me because we are alot alike, we eat incessantly without gaining a single pound and we love good spooky tale.  Im also easily frightend, just as Ichabod is.  Being able to relate to a character, and to be deep into a story put this story on the top of my list.

Things I liked about The Legend are its detailed discriptions of its characters, their persona and background.  Also, the detailed and relatable description's of the town itself were captivating.  Irving made The Legend come alive.  I really had no dislikes at all when it comes to this story.  Even the ending was great, it left what could be easily contrived to the imagination of the reader.

I came across a copy of this story online.  The link to it can be found in the "links" section of the navigation bar above.

I would recomend this story to anyone, especially if you have a fond love of thrilling legends.  The entire story however, is not so serious, as its description of its main character will come to show.  There is a great deal of humor in this book that rounds out its serious and spooky undertone.
